The easy one-step synthesis of a new bis-diaza crown ether porphyrin starti ng from the widely used alpha beta alpha beta -tetrakis (o-aminophenyl)porp hyrin (TAPP alpha beta alpha beta) allows access to a new family of potenti al multisite complexing agents.
