Changes in physical and psychosocial parameters of children and adolescents
with asthma (n = 125) or atopic dermatitis (n = 102 were assessed during a
n inpatient rehabilitation, Environmental effects on subjects with and with
out dust-mite allergy were compared, Both groups improved significantly in
lung function (FEV1) and skin condition (SCORAD-Index), respectively. Self-
assessed health status showed similar improvements, Patients with as well a
s without dust mite allergy profited significantly from the rehabilitation
program and their stay at high altitude.
