Abstract
The goldenrods are one of oar most widely distributed native wildflowers. T hese herbaceous perennials with their clustered yellow (rarely white) flowe rs add their beauty to the countryside across North America, particularly i n New England And it is in New England where goldenrod has been of most imp ortance as a honey plant Over the years, beekeepers in that region have ext racted tons of goldenrod honey and their bees have secured pollen reserves and winter stores from these classic American honey plants.
