Abstract
This paper presents the results of a karyological analysis of 17 species of Alchemilla L. sect. Alchemilla subsect. Calycanthum Rothm. ser. Elatae Rot hm. The studies were carried out on plants from northeast Anatolia (Turkey) . About 75% of the species have chromosome numbers 2n = 86 to 123. A few sp ecies have a lower number. The species an polyploids like the majority of s pecies of sect. Alchemilla studied so far from various geographic areas.
