Abstract
Six monoclonal antibodies directed against Marteilia sp. isolated from Myti lus edulis in France have been characterized and proven to be specific for Marteilia sp. isolated from Mytilus galloprovincialis in Galicia (NW Spain) . Several immunologoical tests (indirect immunofluorescence, tissue immunop eroxidase, immunodot and enzyme-linked immunoassay, ELISA) have been applie d obtaining various results with the different antibodies in all of them. T hese methods may be used as potential tools for efficiently diagnosing Mart eilia in the future.
