Abstract
Treatment of triphenylbismuth difluoride with alkynyldiisopropoxyboranes in the presence of BF3. OEt2 in CH2Cl2 gives alkynyltriphenylbismuthonium tet rafluoroborates, which react with sodium p-toluenesulfinate in dual reactio n modes depending on the solvents employed.
