Abstract
An NaY zeolite, modified with partly alkylsilane-covered titanium oxide and located at the boundary between aqueous and organic phases (a phase-bounda ry catalyst), acts as a catalyst for alkene epoxidation without stirring or the addition of a co-solvent to drive liquid-liquid phase transfer.
