Abstract
Tetramethyltin reacts rapidly, even at low temperature, with the hydroxy gr oups in the supercages of HY zeolite, resulting in the formation of well-de fined -Sn(CH3)(3) fragments in the supercages. This reaction is very select ive as there is no reaction with the hydroxy groups in the sodalite cages a nd prisms.
