This review deals with the state of the art in the field of correlatio
ns between photoredox reactivity parameters (quenching constant k(q),
threshold energy E-th, quantum yield phi) and ground-state parameters
of complexes, their ligands and the peripheral groups of the ligands (
redox potential E-1/2, ionization energy I, electronegativity x, Hamme
tt parameter sigma, etc.). Practical aspects of the possibilities to t
