Abstract
Direct Numerical Simulations of isothermal and non-isothermal, temporal mix ing layers are performed On a computational domain which is large enough re analyse acoustic data ill tct ms of far. field. Computation of sound emiss ions shows that the acoustic radiation is significantly modified by thc tem perature, according re experimental trends. Then DNS data are used to predi ct the noise emission from the Lighthill's acoustic analogy. By accounting for the two acoustic source terms, results from direct computations and pre dictions from acoustic analogy are in excellent agreement.
