Abstract
Purpose, To report two cases of exposure keratopathy after cos metic CO2 la ser skin resurfacing. Methods. Two patients presented with bilateral intrap alpebral epitheliopathy. They were examined, treated, and followed for seve ral weeks. Results. Nonsurgical treatment options, including a variety of l ubricants, punctal plugs, and lid taping, did not lead to a complete resolu tion of symptoms. Surgical options were recommended. Conclusion. Exposure k eratopathy should be: recognized as a potential side effect of not only inc isional lid surgery but also facial CO2 laser skin resurfacing procedures.
