Abstract
A new method is proposed for the experimental determination of the hyperfin e coupling in molecules. The method is based on the level-crossing effect i n the spin isomer conversion in alternating electric fields. An experiment performed with the (CH3F)-C-13 molecules has revealed the strength of the o ff-diagonal in K (DeltaK = 2) nuclear spin-spin coupling 69.6 +/- 1 kHz, wh ich is only by 0.4 +/- 1 kHz larger than the theoretical value calculated o n the basis of the molecular structure.
