Abstract
Cooling-induced 'calcium signatures' were imaged in aequorin-expressing Ara bidopsis plants after cold acclimation or growth at ambient temperature. In all tissues, signatures were altered after acclimation. Characterization o f the components generating this response indicates that cold acclimation i ncreases cold-induced vacuolar Ca2+ release, but does not affect the influx of extracellular calcium.
