D. Rakowitz et al., A series of diarylsubstituted oximes as potential substrate for new aldosereductase inhibitors, J HETERO CH, 37(5), 2000, pp. 1089-1096
In the course of our research aimed at the discovery of new compounds actin
g as aldose reductase inhibitors, we tested a series of some (E)- and (Z)-o
megao-[[(aryldiazinylmethylene)amino]oxy]alkanoic acids, which were found t
o have moderate in vitro inhibitory activity. On this basis we have now pre
pared several new derivatives modified both at the length of the chain and
at its terminal carboxylic group, together with compounds carrying various
substituents at the phenyl ring. This paper describes their synthesis and b
iological properties.
