The strip drawing test of sheet metal was used in the simulation of the ste
el sheet/steel tool friction contact conditions during a drawing operation.
As the factors produce a dispersion effect on friction, the following vari
ables were chosen: sample orientation, lubricant, velocity of sample displa
cement, plastic strain and contact pressure. The average friction coefficie
nt was calculated from experimental data and a linear regression model was
