Abstract
The synthesis and electrochemical characterization of 'crowned' and 'dioxoc yclam' metalloporphyrins containing Co(II) or Zn(II) metal ions is presente d. Each complex is also characterized by mass spectrometry in addition to a variety of spectroscopic techniques (W-vis, FTIR, ESR (in the case of Co(I I)) and H-1 and C-13 NMR spectroscopy).
