Abstract
A laboratory process based on simple and environmentally compatible operati ons, aimed to the treatment and recycling of spent lithium-ion batteries, i s described in its various steps. The validity of the process has been eval uated by testing as cathode in a common lithium-ion battery configuration, a lithium cobalt oxide electrode prepared from recycled precursors.
