Abstract
In the group of bees treated with Apiwarol AS, a decrease in nest temperatu re as much as 3.5 degreesC was observed, as against no temperature decrease in colonies treated with Folbex VA. The efficacy of treatment against Varr oa jacobsoni in bees treated with Folbex VA was about 80% and those smoked with Apiwarol AS 100%, The higher efficacy of Apiwarol AS was probably caus ed by better ventilation of the hive that resulted from the nest temperatur e decrease.
