Conventional radiation therapy for skull base tumors - An overview

Radiation therapy is an important treatment option for patients with skull base tumors. It may be used as a primary treatment, adjunctive treatment, o r as therapy for recurrence. The use of conventional radiation therapy for skull base tumors has resulted in good-to-excellent control of these lesion s. This article discusses the radiobiology, physics, and outcomes of conven tional radiation therapy in managing skull base tumors.
