Abstract

Using the on-shell scheme and the general linear R-xi gauge we calculate th e one-loop amplitude W+ -->u(l)(d) over bar (j). In agreement with previous work, we show that the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix ought to be renormalized. We Show holy to renormalize the CKM maths and at the same tim e, obtain a gauge-independent W decay amplitude.
