Abstract
The cytostatic activities of Agave intermixta L. (Agavaceae) and Cissus sic yoides L, (Vitaceae) have been determined. In the antimitotic assay, Agave intermixta L, showed complete inhibition of cell division at 24 h of treatm ent, Both species showed a moderate cytostatic activity against HEp-2 cells , Cissus sicyoides L, being the most active species.
