Sorption of antioxidant phenyl-beta -naphthyl, by syndiotactic polypropylen
e and oxidation of this polymer in the presence and in the absence of the a
ntioxidant were studied. As was shown, the qualitative characteristics of t
he kinetics of the noninhibited and inhibited oxidation of syndiotactic PP
are close to the analogous parameters of isotactic PP; however, the initial
oxidation rate of the syndiotactic polymer is much lower.
