Abstract
Fluorescent properties of Eu3+ dibenzoylmethanate macromolecular complexes with poly(acrylic acid) containing grafted o-phenathroline groups were stud ied. Examination of the luminescence spectra of the polymer suggests the ex istence of the effective intramolecular transfer of excitation energy from the resonance levels of chromophoric groups to Eu3+ (the "antenna" effect). The intensity of luminescence for the complex with a low content of Eu3+ ( [Eu3+] = 0.75 wt %) and a 2% content of phenanthroline groups is higher by an order of magnitude compared to europium poly(acrylates).
