Abstract
Indium trifluoromethanesulfonate (In(OTf)(3)) is found to be an effective c atalyst for intramolecular Diels-Alder reactions of furans. This novel cata lyst, soluble in both aqueous and organic media, is easily recovered from t he aqueous layer after the reaction is completed. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
