Abstract
The paper is concerned with the homogenization problem for the Poisson equation in a domain, a part of whose boundary is rapidly oscillating according to several scales. Such a problem arises in the processing of devices with very small features, such as semiconductors. We constr uct ''homogenized'' boundary layers and use them to establish effectiv e approximation to thr solution. (C) 1997 Academic Press.
