Abstract
An extension of the basic client/server model has been designed to add ress interacting scenarios of decentralized, peer-to-peer collaborativ e computing where application can be modelled as a set of interacting but independent agents. Each agent is layered on top of an object-base d, message passing communication substrate, which transparently manage s the complexities of inter program asynchronous interactions across n etworks of heterogeneous computers. We have named such communication s ubstrate YASB (Yet Another Software Bus).
