Abstract
A simple and low cost, but accurate, method to measure the vapor pressure c urve of water below the normal boiling temperature is described. The appara tus uses the expansion power of hot air and steam. The vapor pressure is ca lculated by applying the ideal gas law, some elementary hydrostatics, and t aking into account the water expansivity. (C) 2000 American Association of Physics Teacher's.
