Abstract
The intestinal digestibility of ruminal undegraded protein (RUP) from canol a meal heated at 125 or 145 degreesC for 0, 10, 20, and 30 min was measured using either duodenally cannulated steers or pigs. Cannulated pigs account ed for 96% (P < 0.05) of the variation in intestinal digestibility of RUP b y steers with a standard error of prediction of 0.073%. The pig model overp redicted intestinal digestibility of RUP by only 6%.
