Abstract
The patterns developed on detrital garnets exemplify the hierarchy and Intensity of processes suffered by the grains. Different features not iced over the grain surfaces denote chemical, mechanical and mixed ori gin. Sequential formation of microrelief patterns are observed in a va riety of cases.
