Abstract
During the past few years, significant advances have been made in elucidati ng the mechanisms by which point mutations and altered gene dosages in tetr aspan genes cause neurological disease. In addition, several new myelin tet raspans have been identified that are involved in adhesion, molecular traff icking, growth regulation, and migration of oligodendrocytes and Schwann ce lls.
