Abstract
The authors report the application of room-temperature InSb/InAlSb LED and photodiode devices to the detection of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) using infrare d absorption at a wavelength of 6 mum. With the photodiodes minimally coole d lo -20 degreesC for improved sensitivity, a resolution of 3ppm for nitrog en dioxide detection is achieved using a path length of 4m.
