Abstract
It is proved that, in a number, of cases the modified Dubinin-Radushkevich equation provides wider means for the description of ion-exchange adsorptio n of heavy metals by soils as compared to the Langmuir equation. The maximu m adsorption of title by soddy-calcareous soil rendzina is relatively low, being equal, on average, to 0.1 mM per 100 g. Zinc is poorly retained by th e soil. Copper is adsorbed in greater amounts and is retained better.
