Abstract
Data on the measured electron fluxes and electromagnetic radiation in the t opside auroral ionosphere (the APEX experiment) are presented. It has been shown that the intense electromagnetic radiation (of the type of auroral ki lometer radioemission) in the whistler-mode frequency range and at the elec tron gyrofrequency harmonic can he associated with a modulation of the elec tron-flux densities in the inhomogeneous electrostatically unstable auroral plasma.
