Abstract
BRICO is a broad-coverage ontology built by combining a variety of on-line resources. The initial English ontology has recently been extended to inclu de Spanish, Italian, French, German, and Dutch, and additional extensions a re planned. This paper discusses the creation and extension of the interlin gual ontology, together with some prototype applications of the database.
