Abstract
Vector quantization (VQ) technique is a well known method in image compress ion. Employing Winograd's identity, this letter presents a simple improved method in order to cat the computation time in the full search method for V Q nearly 50%, Some experiments are carried out to confirm the theoretical a nalysis.
