M. Gembicky et al., A dinuclear nickel(II) complex bridged by tricyanomethanide: structure andmagnetic properties, INORG CH C, 3(11), 2000, pp. 566-571
Complexation of Ni-II ion with triethylenetetramine (teta) and potassium tr
icyanomethanide KC(CN)(3) yielded a new binuclear complex, [(teta)Ni(C(CN)(
3))(2)Ni(teta)](ClO4)(2) (I), where two nickel(II) centres are held togethe
r by two tricyanomethanide bridges. The dinuclear units are aggregated into
ladders; four of them being identified inside the unit cell. The effective
magnetic moment on the cooling exhibits a slight gradual increase until. 2
5 K; below this limit a strong, abrupt ferromagnetic interaction culminatin
g at 16 K appears. (C) 2000 Elsevier Science S.A. All rights reserved.
