Abstract
In this article, the genetic algorithm together with a circuit model is app lied to optimize the gain of a dipole array by adjusting the dipole element positions. This algorithm can optimize problems globally without any gradi ent calculations and is especially suitable for large antenna array design. (C) 2000 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
