Abstract
Breaking N = 2 SU(3) and N = 2 SO(6) supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories to corresponding N theories by suitable tree-level superpotentials, the hypere lliptic curves describing the Coulomb phase of these theories have been obt ained and it has been shown that the mass gap in the N = 1 confining phase of these theories vanishes when N = 1 parameters are properly tuned to appr oach the highest critical points.
