R. Fayrerhosken, ANATOMY AND PHYSIOLOGY OF THE BULLS REPRODUCTIVE-SYSTEM, The Veterinary clinics of North America. Food animal practice, 13(2), 1997, pp. 195
The bull's reproduction control is a finely orchestrated system; howev
er, the mechanism has already been predetermined. The bull's genetics,
and to a lesser extent, the environment have already established the
biological limits. Furthermore, whereas the endocrine system appears r
obust, excessive pressures can inhibit or arrest the process. Similarl
y, there are structural Limits to the bull's anatomy; indeed, a thorou
gh understanding of the anatomy and physiology will allow for successf
ul management of the breeding bull.
