Abstract
We propose a geometric characterization of the fixed poles for the dis turbance-rejection problem by static state feedback and, in the partic ular case when the system is controllable, a structural characterizati on in terms of finite invariant zeros of certain open-loop subsystems. We propose solutions through which all the other poles can be freely assigned. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
