Abstract
ESR technique involving the use of 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-oxipiperidine -1-oxyl probe radical was applied to monitor changes in PE oxidized at various temperatures. The data obtained show the correlation between molecular chain mobility and mechanical properties of the polymer. The possibilities of the method application for evaluating polymer life u nder thermal oxidation are discussed.
