Abstract
The collective kinetic interaction of a neutrino distribution with electros
tatic waves propagating in a dense plasma is considered. A Klimontovich-typ
e kinetic equation for the neutrino gas in a plasma is derived, and the res
ulting kinetic description is applied to study the processes of the neutrin
o Landau damping and the neutrino-beam-plasma instability.
