It is shown on isolated aorta preparations that external gamma-irradia
tion of rats at 6 Gy dose causes intensification of contraction reacti
ons to serotonin on the 3rd-30th day of postradiation period followed
by relaxation on the 90th day. Endothelium inhibitory influence on aor
ta contractions induced by serotonin intensifies in the first month af
ter irradiation and then slackens.
