Abstract
The hydrothermal reactions of norfloxacin (H-Norf) with MgCl2. 6H(2)O and C aCl2. 6H(2)O yield two unprecedented dimers containing a direct coordinate bond between H-Norf and a metal [Mg-2(H2O)(6)(H-Norf)(2)]Cl-4. 4H(2)O 1 and [Ca-2(Cl)(H-Norf)(6)]Cl-3. 10H(2)O 2.
