Abstract
No paper has yet been published in Hungary on the parasitic infections of f allow deer (Dama dama). In this study 31 fallow deer killed on individual h unts were examined for parasitological infection by dissection method. One trematode (Dicrocoelium dendriticum), nine nematode species (Dictyocaulus v iviparus, Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia leptospicularis, Skjabinagia kol chida, Trichostrongylus axei, Capillaria bovis, Nematodirus filicollis, Nem atodirus roscidus, Oesophagostomum venulosum) and a tick species (Ixodes ri cinus) were recovered. T. axei and O. venulosum occured most frequently (wi th a prevalence of 32.2% and a low parasite burden of 3-10 and 7-28 nematod e specimens per animal, respectively). For the other parasite species the p revalence of infection varied between 6.1% and 19.3%.
