Abstract
Barbituric acid derivatives Ne synthesized as the electro-optic chromophore s for photorefrac tive: application. When doped with new chromophores the p hotorefractive composites which consist of polysiloxane with pendant carbaz ole as photoconducting host show very large gain coefficient (Gamma = 219 c m(-1) at 100 V/mum).
