Abstract
[GRAPHICS] Oligonucleotides containing an alkali labile nucleotide are synthesized and deprotected using a synthetic method that eliminates the use of Bronsted a cid and base. The development of a new family of exocyclic amine protecting groups is an integral component of this approach.
