Processes occurring in the Ti-48 at. % Al-2 at. % Nb alloy upon heating to
800-1300 degreesC and rapid cooling from these temperatures are considered.
Complex phase and structural transformations, resulting in the formation o
f new metastable gamma' and alpha phases, were found to occur in the alloy
upon quenching. The critical transformation temperatures and the structural
parameters of the new phases were established.
