Abstract
The electrical and dielectric properties of palmitoyl cellulose Langmuir-Bl odgett (LB) film were investigated. The current-volt age characteristics ha ve shown threshold properties, which have been explained by the monolayer n umber based effect. From capacitance measurements, the fraction of area of the well-defined LB film have been estimated to be about 50% in the LB meta l-insulator-metal (MIM) devices (fabricated in this study), as for fabricat ion of microscopic devices. It is suggested that MIM devices can be fabrica ted using palmitoyl cellulose LB films. Copyright (C) 2000 John Wiley & Son s, Ltd.
