We report measurements made on superconducting Al-AlOx-Al Coulomb-bloc
kade electrometers with fixed gap Delta and charging energy E-c, but t
unable Josephson coupling E-j via application of a magnetic field. Thi
s allows us to investigate the effects of changing the E-j/E-c ratio o
n the device characteristics. We compare the observed modulation with
respect to magnetic field and gate voltage with the theoretical predic
tions in the supercurrent region.
